I was also class of '69' and I remember Robin. I remember her as a kind person, but not in my school click with my friends JoAnn, Paula, and other outsider's, on the smoking patio. My Dad was retired Air Force but I was still considered a military kid. I do remember Robin fondly as one of the few people who treated me nice.

It was the fall of 1967.We met in study hall, in the auditorium. She was the first friendly person I met. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of disdain for military kids, who were considered outsiders my most. Many of those, who grew up in Fayetteville, were quite snobbish. Robin was so kind and sociable. We were fast friends, along with Linda Cohen. Linda and I kept in touch. She died about 6 years ago. Robin's daughter wrote to tell me, about her mom's unexpected death.
I'm still having trouble processing this. She was the best mom to Emily and the best wife to Bruce. She was the best dog mom too. And, Robin was the best, best friend to me.
