Matt Brown, born August 9, 1999 in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, is a highly regarded American collegiate ice hockey left winger. A graduate of Tenafly High School in New Jersey, Matt went on to play junior hockey and attend the University of Massachusetts Lowell before transferring to Boston University.

Throughout his career, Brown has shown resilience and adaptability. Struggling in his initial stint with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, he quickly switched leagues to join the Odessa Jackalopes where he began to flourish. Brown finally struck gold with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) where he led his club in scoring and became a point per game player. This success led to his enrollment at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he also excelled.

The coronavirus pandemic disrupted Brown's second season, and the following year was a tumultuous one for him.
