About Me	After HS I went to Suny Buffalo and ended up with a degree in Bio. I took about a year and then went to grad school at U Maine, Orono (near Bangor) for Wood science (aka wood utilization). Before I was done, I left school to take a job in industry and worked down in the Athens area in GA for about a year and a half before leaving that job and returning to the northeast to defend my masters thesis. So that was wrapped up in '98, and about the same time I got a job in Biddeford ME as a Computer Aided Design operator. I did that for about 5 years and then the company restructured and I was laid off. So I did a whole mess of different things since then - which has actually been the most fun and interesting time so far. Right now I am currently back in school working towards a teaching certificate - so next Fall I will hopefully be a newly minted science teacher. On the personal level, I met my wife while at grad school - we were actually housemates to begin with. We got married in 2000, and after the layoff I mentioned, we had our daughter and bought a house in Arundel, ME (it was actually our second place) right next door to Kenneunkport - which is where we currently live. Edit [12/30/20]: In 2009 we had a second daughter. I did end up teaching science at the middle school for 6 years, before getting fried. Took a 3 year hiatus to work as the tutor/Ed Tech at the local voc school before landing a teaching job at that school - I now teach "Intro to Voc" classes, so a form of Industria...(read more)
