| About Me | Left home right after Graduation, joined “back to the land” movement in Oregon and New Mexico. Have 2 sons, Robin (1971), and Merlin (1973) and separated from their father in 1974. As a single parent, I went back to school to study art, but fell in love with music. I went through the music program at CoM, and started a Vocal Jazz class, which continued for 12 more years.I still sing today, specializing in jazz. I worked at the Sleeping Lady Cafe, in Fairfax, after CoM, where I was able to really blossom out, learning all the aspects of running a small business. I became the sound person/stage manager for live shows, 7 nights a week, then did their booking and served on their board, where learned about politics, in spades! In the 80’s I gave up on stage work, and became self employed doing Landscaping. I did some work for CoM, as a gardener, but resigned after running a successful campaign for CoM Board of Trustees, a county wide election, where I served for 4 years. I continued to work as a Landscaper until I retired. I also continued to serve on local boards and Commissions, retiring from my last one, the Tam Design Review Board (recommended by Kett Zegart!) after 11years.
