Taft Foundation Alumni Mixed Chorus

Hi!

My name is David Barth from the Taft class of January 1962. Before you read any further, I will openly admit this is a form letter because it’s the most convenient and consistent way to reach a number of Taft alumni whose emails I have.

Two quick pieces of information.

First, let me introduce you to the new Taft Foundation Alumni Mixed Chorus. Started just several months ago, we are now up to 31 singers and picking up an additional member every couple of weeks. On Wednesday evening December 16th, we will be singing three selections as part of the Taft Choral Departments Winter Holiday Concert! Rehearsals will be on Saturday, December 5 and Saturday, December 12…..1:00-3:30 in Des Plaines. If you sang in either the Mixed Chorus or Girls Chorus while at Taft, or have experience singing since then, we would love to have you join us. Annnnnd, the Chorus is also open to non-alumni singing spouses and family members over the age of 18, plus friends of Taft. That last one means that if you will be singing with us and you have a friend who would also like to join you, they’re more than welcome. We already have three such new members. So if you’re interested, please contact me. All my contact information is below.

Second, I want to bring to your attention the Taft Hall of Fame and how you can vote for alumni (students, teachers and administrators) you think are deserving of being inducted. Go to VoteTaft.org and as the corner newsboy used to say, “Read all about it!” It really, really is a worthwhile venture on the part of the school and the Foundation. Read…Register…Vote! It’s that simple. VoteTaft.org. Do it now while you’re thinking about it.
