About Me	Drummer Extraordinaire Darion began playing drums at the age of 5. He began studying with drummer, Cliff Hackford. He performed in the orchestra, jazz and wind ensembles from elementary school through high school. At the junior high and high school levels he achieved perfect and near perfect scores at the NYSSMA competitions, resulting in his acceptance to perform in the All County and All State Jazz and Orchestral Ensembles of New York State. He then went on to study music at the college level and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Music. Darion has 32 years of playing experience, 21 of them as a professional. He has spent most of those years performing as a Session Musician both in live and recorded settings with various artists and performing groups and has also performed at the world’s top night clubs with the world’s top DJs. Additionally, over the past 5 years, he has become a master Bucket Drummer performing at various venues and events throughout New York City and worldwide with his percussion group NYC Players.
