Class of 1938
After graduration, I worked for a year in the office of Avondale Mills. I attended University of Alabama my Freshman year. I did not have tne fjnds to return for my Sophomore year so I decided to get a job in Washington, D.C.. in order to continue my education in eveving classes. After working in the U. S. Government until I registerest for the draft for WW II. I volunteered for the U.S. Navy and was assigned to Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). I served in the Secretaryy of the Navy "Situation Room" and in the African Theater of War, After released from the Navy, I became a charter member of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). I was married to Marie Baltes of Minnesoto. We had three sons, Tom, Mark, & Dave. II am now 90 years old and live in a Assisted Living Home.
