About | Max Brown Obituary Brown, Max P., Triangle, Virginia, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan. After a short illness, Mr. Brown died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Potomac Hospital, Capital Hospice in Woodbridge, Virginia at the age of 41 years followed by a Catholic Mass and cremation. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 16, 1964. He is survived by his parents, JoAnn and Jac Ford, stepmother, Grace Brown, and preceded in death by his father, Robert I. Brown. Max was a graduate of Swan Valley High School and Saginaw Valley State University. He earned his graduate degree in Library Science at Florida State University where he was an avid "Seminole" football fan. Max was employed at the Orlando Public Library for many years as a reference librarian, moving to Macon, Georgia, he worked at Central Georgia Technical College both as a librarian and teaching classes while earning a nursing degree. Putting his nursing degree to use, he was a caregiver at a nursing home. Max was then employed at Macon State College as a cataloger. Later, he moved to Triangle, Virginia, and was hired by the Potomac Hospital as their Medical Librarian. Max enjoyed his work at Potomac Hospital where he made many friends on the staff. Max had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to the elderly and animal care. He often visited his "ladies" at the nursing home long after he terminated employment, bringing them little gifts and sitting with them to pray the Rosary. Max is also survived by four brothers, Matthew Brown, Bay City; Jeff and Amy Ford, Caro, Mich.; Randy Mott, Bay City, Mich.; Jay Mott, Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Teri and David Skidmore, Saginaw, Mich.; Amy and Sage Jackson, Alpharetta, Ga.; his best friend, Mike Connelly, Triangle, Virginia. Max's friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at a memorial gathering to be held at the Montague Inn on November 13, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. |
