About	SUN PRAIRIE/POYNETTE- Mark A. Whelan, age 54, was born into eternal life on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at UW Hospitals in Madison. He was born on Dec. 29, 1952, in Watertown, and was the son of Robert Sr. and Marion (Hendrickson) Whelan. Mark graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1971. He worked for Stokely USA and Ball Corp. for over 20 years. Mark loved his Irish heritage, waterskiing and cars, but most of all loved his family. He is survived by his two children, Jessica of Madison and Travis of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kaela, Samantha, Silas and Tirah; a stepmother Susan Whelan of Westport; four brothers, Bob (Deb) of Poynette, Terry (Sherri) of Boone, N.C., Scott (Sue) of Sun Prairie and Rodney (Tracy) of Rockledge, Fla.; special nieces, Jody (Dan) Kock of McFarland and Jami Navis of Sun Prairie; a step-brother Bruce (Debbie) Kuehl; 12 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sharon. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, with Monsignor Duane Moellenbrendt presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007.
