About | Sugden, Linda Walsh RIVERSIDE, CALIF./SUN PRAIRIE - Linda Walsh Sugden, age 44, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Moreno Valley, Calif. Linda was born on Nov. 9, 1958, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Richard and Gloria (Christian) Walsh. She was united in marriage to Richard Sugden on June 10, 1988, in Carmel, Calif. Linda grew up in the Madison area, attending grade school there, and graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1976. She received her bachelor's degrees in business education and communications from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colo. Linda moved to Riverside, Calif., to be with her future husband Richard (Sun Prairie class of 1975 and UW-Madison, industrial engineering, in 1986) in May 1987. Linda's passion was teaching and her greatest satisfaction was seeing students achieve to their fullest potential. She was an instructor at the National Business Institute, Riverside, Calif., from January 1988 to November 1989; at March Mountain Alternative Education Program from January 1990 to June 1990; a part-time instructor at Riverside Community College from 1989 to 1994; and most recently a business education teacher at Moreno Valley View High School from August 1990 to the present. She will be missed and mourned by her loving family: her husband, Richard of Riverside, Calif.; her mother, Gloria Walsh of Sun Prairie; her brothers, Steven (Chris) Walsh and their children, Andrew, Aaron and Emily, of Troy, Mich., Scott (Cindy) Walsh and their children, Jamie and Katelyn, of DeForest; father- and mother-in-law, Ralph and Mary Sugden of Sun Prairie; brother-in-law, Michael (Tammie) Sugden of Delafield; sisters-in-law, Diana (Neil) Krumenauer of Wauwatosa, and Janice (Charles) Baker of Eagan, Minn.; other relatives and friends also mourn her passing. Linda was preceded in death by her father. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at 11, a.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, with the Rev. Barbara Simmers officiating. Committal services will be held in Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Sun Prairie. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
