| About | SUN PRAIRIE/MCFARLAND/ MONTELLO - Ronald P. "Storky" Storch, age 63, of Montello, passed away at the home of his daughter on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002. Ron was born on Jan. 19, 1939, in Madison, Wis., the son of Carl and Bertha (Mautz) Storch. He served his country in the Marines enlisting in 1956. He was united in marriage to Faith Colleen "Tyke" Fahey on Aug. 25, 1962, at the St. James, Catholic Church in Madison. Three children blessed their marriage. Ron worked at Oscar Mayer in Madison, as an electrician for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He and Tyke were Packer fans. They enjoyed their retirement home on the lake in Montello, and the beauty of nature. From 1989 until 1995 Ron, his wife and son, Jeff owned and operated "Storky's Dutch Mill Inn" in Madison. Ron also sold real estate for Century 21 out of Oxford for several years. Ron was a past Lions Club member, holding offices; active in Ducks Unlimited and an avid Sportsman. Despite battling cancer for three years, Storky was active up until the last days, enjoying the sport he loved, hunting with his family. He is survived by his three loving children, Jeffrey (Paula) Storch of Madison, Ronda S. (Jim) Schwetz of Florida and Rebecca Jo (Steve) Davis of Prairie du Sac; four grandchildren, Corwin Dobrowski, Taylor and Jessica Schwetz and Teagan Jo Davis; his mother, Bertha Storch of Sun Prairie; brothers, Walter (Sharon) of Sun Prairie, Carl (Janet) of Madison and Peter (Helen) of Cottage Grove; sisters, Gloria (Mel) Klitzke of Montello, Rose (Dave) Sergenian of Madison and Fran (Alan) Rademacher of Sun Prairie; brother-in-law, Pastor Wes Stewart of New Mexico; special-in-laws; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; other near relatives and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by is father; his loving wife and best friend, Tyke on Dec. 29, 2001; and sister, Nancy in 1999. Memorial services for Ron Storch will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at 7 p.m. at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Pardeeville. Tony Karls will officiate. Friends and relatives may call at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Pardeeville on Tuesday afternoon, from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ron's name to the UW cancer research or to the Divine Savior Healthcare Center in Portage. Ron was a very generous and fair man. He gave of his time and talents to help others. He enjoyed life --- he loved his family dearly and was most proud of his grandchildren., "The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories.", , |
