Stephen C. Hurd Obituary
DEERFIELD/SUN PRAIRIE- Stephen Hurd, age 55, of Deerfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. He was born on Oct. 3, 1962, in Madison, the son of Phillip and Audrey (Stroede) Hurd. He married Diana Ball on Oct. 31, 1992, in Cottage Grove. Stephen worked as a Master Plumber for many years, currently with Jason Jenny Plumbing. Stephen was a loving and gentle man. He enjoyed his time up north with his son and family, shooting and four wheeling. Stephen is survived by his wife, Diana; son, Lucas Hurd; daughter, Briana Hurd; brother, Bill Hurd; nephew, Kyle Hurd; parents-in-law, George and Marlene Ball; and two brothers-in-law, Craig (Debby) Ball and Jeff (Carolyn) Ball. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, with presiding the Rev. Jeff Vanden Huevel. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
