About Me	Started career as bench scientist in plant biology at Boyce Thompson Institute; moved to the Upjohn Company (Kalamazoo, MI): QA/QC then became a biotechnology program manager for Agrigenetics Corporation (Denver, CO) as well as overseeing their Applied Genetics Lab (Boulder, CO). Moved to the Bay Area to continue working in AgBiotech (Escagenetics, San Carlos) eventually winding up at Stanford Medical School (1987) overseeing construction of research facilities and directing the health, safety and emergency preparedness programs. Met former Stuyvesant classmate, Harvey Cohen (January, 1961) at intramural softball game. I wore a Stuyvesant Tee shirt to one game and he picked me out immediately! (Harvey chaired the Pediatrics Department at Stanford's Medical School). Happily retired in 2015 and enjoying all the Bay Area and California has to offer. For reasons unknown to me, took up bowling and am in a Seniors League; play Scrabble; Community member on the UCSF Institutional Biosafety Committee. Took up saxophone (soprano) and ...(read more)
