About Me	I live in Princeton, Illinois, seat of Bureau County and about 45 miles from my hometown. I am a priest and the compiler & publisher of oremus.org. Born in Streator, a small rust-belt town in north-central Illinois. Met my life-partner Keith when I was twenty years old and we've been together for 25 years this year. Chose to pursue the liberal arts and humanities through college and grad school, ending with a Ph.D. in German Literature with a dissertation on Bertolt Brecht. Spent two different academic years in Germany, the first in Frankfurt am Main and the second in Bonn. Three years after getting the doctorate, I started seminary at Trinity Lutheran Seminary and after transferring earned an M.Div. from Bexley Hall. Ordained a deacon in The Episcopal Church in June 2007 and a priest in February 2008. After searching for a parish for two years, I served a parish in Jeffersonville, Indiana for 17 months. I spent the next year and a half studying to become an elementary teacher, working as a sub and doing tutoring. Now I've gone backwards and am a full-time freelance German to English translator, a job which suits me quite well. I am enjoying our new life and our new home in Princeton, where we live on 1.2 acres surrounded on three sides by several more acres of farmland.
