Joined in 1979 right after graduation. Met my husband in 1984 at Patrick AFB, FL. Moved around to many bases including Ft Meade, MD, Ramstein AB, Germany, Dyess AFB, TX, and back to Ramstein AB, Germany. Was able to travel all over Europe and see many sites. Was in Germany during 9/11. It was a horrible day to remember! My husband and I both retired in 2003 and returned to Calhoun County, Florida.

Served at the Naval Communications Unit in London, England. Was responsible for communications with U.S. submarines located in Soviet waters during the Cold War period. Exposed to IRA bombings which were prominate in London during this time.

Our Stratford High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Stratford High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Stratford are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
