YOU ASKED FOR IT!

By popular demand, your Reunion Committee is planning another BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) beach party! This time we will be celebrating BOTH our 52nd Class Reunion and the fact that most of us will be reaching our 70th birthday in 2019.

As you may recall, our 50th Reunion turned into a quite a dance party under the direction of our very own Pete “Name that Tune DJ” Mesavage! Check out our dance moves in the photos at https://shsclassof1967reunion.shutterfly.com/4.

This time, Pete will be joined by the Outside Chance band which will be playing the hits of the 60s and beyond! See http://outsidechanceband.com/songlist.html. To help defray the costs of the band, party supplies and . . . our birthday cake, we will be collecting a cash donation of $10/person at the door.

Since this is a BYOE event, bring whatever you would like to eat and drink. Note that glass containers are not permitted on Short Beach. Although there are picnic tables and benches in the Pavilion, it is suggested that you bring your own chairs for more comfortable seating. The Reunion Committee will provide name tags, charcoal, table cloths, decorations and the SHS memorabilia display.

Free Parking: Stratford Residents are reminded to display a current beach sticker on their windshields when entering the park. Non-residents should bring a copy of this flyer to show the gate attendant in order to gain access to the park without paying a parking fee.

Tour the new Stratford High School!

Sadly, our old school building is now gone. While the new school will not be fully completed by August, we do expect that we will be able to tour the finished buildings on Friday August 2nd.
