About Me	I married my husband, Mike, while we were still in college. We moved to Arizona after graduation. I taught in the public schools while Mike worked in college administration. Fourteen years later we returned to education after owning a Goodyear Tire Center in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, for 5 years. After a time in Ohio, we escaped the snow once again and settled in Texas. My husband was a college and university financial aid director. I taught elementary school, then went back to college to earn my MLS. After teaching for 17 years, I became an elementary librarian, and during the next 11 years, honed my storytelling, singing and puppeteering skills. After I retired, I spent the next 4 years working part time in our public library as a children's and outreach librarian. I've had a wonderful life, filled with music, books, children, and family - including our beloved dogs. We now live in Austin, and spend our time traveling, attending plays and concerts, and enjoying living near our daughter and her family, including our beloved 21 month old grandson.
