Cryptologic Technician (CTR). Spent most of my years in Japan - Misawa, Okinawa....Was in the WASP (Women at sea program) in 1992-1993 and rode the USS Blue Ridge in Operation Team Spirit in conjunction with South Korea. Went to C school for Signals Analysis in Florida and finished my last tour of duty at Ft. Meade, MD where I have stayed and now live. I work as a Configuration Management Analyst for BAE Systems on Navy Programs in Washington DC.

After concentrating in mathematics and graduating from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1974, I served on active duty as a commissioned officer for over 20 years, commanded two ships (Cutter RED OAK, homeported in Gloucester City, NJ, and Cutter COWSLIP, homeported in Portsmouth, VA) and one shore unit (Vessel Traffic Service Houston/Galveston, TX), earned an MA degree in Mathematics, taught in the math department at the USCG Academy, and retired as a Commander (O-5) in 1995. Inspired by the wonderful teachers and coaches I had at SJHS, I now chair the math department and teach at Episcopal High School, Houston, TX. The outstanding educational foundation that I received at SJHS has served me well all of my life! Thank you, SJHS!
