| About | Cherri Lee Bamber Hold, 66 of Apison, TN, died on Monday, June 7, 2022. She was born on May 9, 1956 in Harrisonburg, VA to the late James and Kay Bamber of New Market, VA. Cherri grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of New Market, VA. She was a very popular student and cheerleader at Stonewall Jackson High School, graduating in 1974. A few years after graduation, she met Ronald Hold who quickly became the love of her life. Together, they had a long and loving relationship of 33 years until Ronnie’s death on August 26, 2008. Ronnie and Cherri operated several business ventures, including Eastern Steel and Wire, a gift shop in Clearwater, FL and Truck Liquidators in the Chattanooga, TN area. Cherri loved to dance and cherished the music of the 70’s. Both Ronnie and Cherri enjoyed being a part of the Shriner’s, attending many dinners and dances there through the years. Cherri loved the sun and sand of the beaches, traveling many times to the Caribbean with her sister Delores and many friends. Cherri was baptized on March 26, 2000 at Morris Hill Baptist Church. She deeply believed in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She had a close relationship and loving relationship with her sister, Delores, and loved all her grandchildren with all of her heart. Cherri will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her. Survivors include her children, Amy Lynn of Chattanooga, TN and Ronnie (Ashley) Hold of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Kody Lynn, Sydney Lynn, both of Chattanooga, TN, Nathan Hold, Nicolas Hold and Joshua Hold; sister, Delores (Michael) Wean and her nephew, Christopher Wean. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 PM Monday, June13, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421. |
