Eddie Allen Smoot, 60, of Edinburg, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Smoot was born May 24, 1955 in New Market, VA, son of the late John Aldine and Leona Frances Spitzer Smoot.
He was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Hamburg.
He was a former employee of Aileen Inc. in Edinburg.
He is survived by a brother, Wayne D. (Debbie) Smoot of Edinburg; and two nieces, Heather (Mike) Moton of Strasburg and Tracie (Jon) Smoot of Edinburg.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. Kenn Nilsen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Orville Smoot, Ronnie Smoot, Larry Smoot, Dean Barb, Kirby Dellinger Jr. and Rick Lytton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson prior to the graveside service.
