About	Mr. Heath was born July 8, 1956 in Harrisonburg, and was the son of James D. and Helen Marie Derrow Heath of New Market. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, where he played football. In 1974, he was the Virginia high school golf champion. He was district medalist for several years. He was a junior at Madison College, where he was a member of the golf team. Mr. Heath was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. He worked at the Shenvalee Lodge. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Jeffrey Jay and Jerry Joe Heath, both at home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Green and Mrs. Lucille Derrow, all of Harrisonburg. The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ottetbein United Methodist Church by the Rev. Fred B. Wyand, Jr. Burial will be in Singers Glen Cemetery. The body is at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 today. The family will also receive friends at the Heath home.
