Clovis Howard Clark
Class of 1943
Navy, 2 Years
Clovis Howard Clark, Graduate of Stillwater High School, voluntteered in the US Navy Air Corps during World War II at age 17. Upon turning 18 he was off to San Diego and North Island for basic trianing. He was an Aviation Machinist's mate with Fleet Airwing 14 and was selected to attend Naval Air Technical Training in Crystal Lake (Chicago area). His favorite plane to work on was the PBY Catalina. He was honorably discharged on February 13, 1946. with the rank of Seaman First Class. Howard Clark passed away at the age o 85 on March 29, 2011.

Personnelman maintain and audit pay and personnel records of military personnel, determine military pay and travel entitlements and deductions. They prepare the financial/accounting reports related to individual pay and travel transactions and operate associated accounting systems. They also assist enlisted people and their families with special problems or personal hardships.
