Favorite School Memory	Founder of the first Mineral club at the school. I also remember that a few teachers gave support to a troubled young boy who is now really grateful.
About Me	One month after graduation I was in the military and soon in Vietnam. When I came home I went to collage at the University of Vermont. I met my wife there during my first year and we were married that summer. We are still married and still the best of friends. I then wrote a book on the minerals of Vermont and New Hampshire and received a fellowship to Dartmouth College. It was a hard adjustment but I graduated and found a job in Denver working for a large oil company. After a few years and some opportunities I was given the unique position of being the only geologist in a special think tank. This job enabled me to travel the world, write theoretical papers, design research and give presentations. I am doing similar things now, but in a different field. I came to the conclusion in 1983 that there was something missing in our society, something that was contributing to suffering due to ignorance and did not need to be there - a research scientist perspective. So I left the corporate world and went on a quest to find answers. I received two more college degrees, the last being my doctorate. The research on my doctorate was stimulated by years of field observations and it has become the cornerstone of a number of works. All these works can be viewed (for free) on www.CompassionSpace.com.
