About	Manter, Kansas Carol Mills, 85-year-old longtime Cimarron County resident passed away on April 19, 2025 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. Carol was born on May 12, 1939, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Wesley Scrivner Mills and Anna Marie Hoffman Scrivner. She grew up on a farm near Manter, Kansas, and graduated from Manter High School in 1957. On October 31, 1956, she married John Mills in Clayton, New Mexico. They lived in Walsh and Towner, Colorado, before settling in Boise City in 1969, where she remained for the rest of her life. Carol was a long-time and devoted member of the First Methodist Church. She found joy in watching John's horses' race, attending auctions by his side, and spending time at craft shows with her daughter, Jona. She also enjoyed trips to the casino with friends. Carol will be fondly remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Simcox Scrivner and Anna Marie Hoffman Scrivner; her brother, Robert Martin Scrivner (Bob) and sister-in law, Ruby Scrivner; her sister, Anita Jean Scrivner Hixon, and brother-in-law, Merle Hixon; as well as another brother-in-law, Joe Batterton. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/281894390/carol_ann-mills
