Robert Martin Scrivner, 58, died March 29, 1990, at his home in rural Manter, of natural causes.

He was born August 29, 1931, at Dodge City, the son of W.S. and Marie Hoffman Scrivner. A graduate of Manter high school in 1949, he was a lifetime resident of Manter and was a farmer.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the United Methodist Church, the American Agriculture Movement, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for nine years.

On November 25, 1954, he married Ruby McKedy at Manter, She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Curtis, Manter; three daughters, Bobbie Scrivner, Garden City, Terri Mace, Goodland, Betty Jo Scrivner, Houston, mother, Manter; three sisters, Nita Hixson, Lamar, Colorado, Jackie Batterton, Manter, and Carol Mills, Boise City, Oklahoma; four grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Manter, with the Revs. Ken Hathaway and Chuck Mattix presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Sunday at Greene Funeral Home, Johnson. Burial with military graveside rites, will be in the Johnson Cemetery, Johnson.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, to Boy Scout Troop No 145, Johnson, or to Boy Scout Troop No. 142, Goodland, all in care of the funeral home.
