About	Manter, Kansas Arthur Emery DeSelms, 80, Topeka (KS), died Friday, Apr 21, 2000, at home. He was born Jan 11, 1920 in Stafford (KS), to Emery and Alta Allmon DeSelms. He lived in Wichita (KS) before he moved to Topeka in 1968. He was a carman for Santa Fe Railway before he retired. He was a veteran of World War II. He served with the 15th Air Corps in the Army. He flew on 50 missions out of North Africa and Italy. He was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church, a Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite bodies, Doorstep, TARTA and Keenagers. He married Evelyn Eve Caldwell on Apr 3, 1944. She died June 3, 1996. Survivors include a son, James L DeSelms, Topeka; a daughter, Artis Stoebener, Cameron MO; two brothers, Ralph DeSelms, Ulysses (KS), and Leland DeSelms, Guymon OK; a sister, Edna Hudson, Sedalia MO; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Crestview United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Funeral Home.
