About	Manter, Kansas Faye Ethel Pope, 87, died Nov 11, 1999 at Pioneer Lodge Nursing Home in Coldwater. Born May 27, 1912, at Richfield, to Hiram H and Nora Ethel Martin Sipes, she was a homemaker. She graduated from Manter High School in 1930. She was a lifetime resident of Comanche County, moving to a ranch near Wilmore in 1941 from Barber County. She was a member of the Coldwater First Christian Church. On October 5, 1941, she was married to Leonard Wilber Pope at Greensburg. He died Mar 21, 1981. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Leora Pope; and seven brothers, William, Glenn, Roscoe, Leo, Dale, Don and Burton Sipes. Survivors include three sons, Gene Pope of Coldwater, Lonny Pope of Aurora, Co, and Lanny Pope of Guymon, Ok; one daughter Naomi Jutz of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral was Nov 15, 1999, at the Coldwater First Christian Church, with Rev Jack Wingate presiding.
