Wife of Bernard J. "BJ" Shand. Educated as a Registered Nurse. She often said her favorite place to live had been Minnesota, though all four of her children were born in Pratt, Kansas, and she & BJ returned there often to visit other family members. She & BJ also lived in Derby, Kansas, then Colorado Springs, Colorado, and their final home together was in Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by BJ, and they share a grave.
