About	Richard D. "Dick" Kreie, 83, of Ulysses, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses. He was born July 22, 1927, in Dodge City, to Ray Connard and Octavia Parker Kreie. He graduated from Johnson High School. A Ulysses resident since 1951, Mr. Kreie worked for Ulysses Cemetery. He served in the U.S. Marines. He married Doris Carter on Oct. 20, 1952, in Sand Springs, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Jeff and Todd Kreie, both of Ulysses, Rod Kreie of Newton, and Scott Kreie of Turpin, Okla.; a daughter, Tracy Kreie of Scotts Bluff, Neb.; a brother, Jack Kreie of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Karen Fanning of Boston; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. A memorial service was at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses, with military rites conducted.
