About	Robert D. "Bob" Martin, 84, of Johnson City, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson City. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Larned, to Elmer and Ethel Windmill Martin. A Johnson City resident since 1939, he began farming and ranching after graduating from Johnson High School. He was a former Johnson City Council member. On Nov. 12, 1949, he married Janet Baugh in Johnson City. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Brock and Brent Martin, both of Johnson City, and Blake Martin of Rocky Ford, Colo.; a daughter, Kim Barker of Ulysses; two brothers, Bud Martin of Alta Vista, and Larry Martin of Garden City; two sisters, Dorothy Shull of Las Vegas, and Janis Martin of Aurora, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Barbara Teeter; a grandson; a sister, Marylyn Martin; and a brother, Gene Martin. Funeral was at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. Burial was at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.
