Mary Margaret Dimitt Wilkerson, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Morton County Care Center in Elkhart.
She was born June 28, 1920, in Sherman County, to William Thompson and Mary Adrian Kane Jones.
Mrs. Wilkerson held the office of Stanton County Clerk from 1965 to 1983.
On Oct. 6, 1940, she married Victor Dimitt in Liberal. He died in 1962. On March 17, 1979, she married Myrl "Buck" Wilkerson in Johnson City. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Robert Victor Dimitt and William Wesley "Bill" Dimitt.
Survivors include a son, Shannon Dimitt of Johnson City; a daughter, Barbara Dimitt of Wichita; a sister, Wilma Winger of Johnson City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. Burial was at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.
