Edward T. Barber, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Western Prairie Care Home in Ulysses.
He was born June 7, 1919, to Orville T. and Wilma (King) Barber in Reno County.
He married Ona C. Nelson of Rooks County Oct. 27, 1940. She survives.
He had been a resident of Stanton County since 1932. He was a farmer.
He attended the Bethel Nazarene Church in Big Bow.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Other survivors include one son, Tom Barber and wife, Maxine, Wichita; one daughter, K. Ellen Kersey and husband, Lyle, Johnson; three brothers, Kenneth Barber, Johnson, Fay Barber, Caldwell, Idaho, and Gail Barber, Enid, Okla.; one sister, Willa Cott, Garden City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
