About	Theda June Ivy of Eugene, died March 22 of age-related causes. She was 85. Theda was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Major and Ella Sprouse Childs. She married Orley Ivy in Hutchinson on May 10, 1940. He died Feb. 16, 1977. She graduated from Stanton County High School in Johnson, Kan., in 1937. She settled in this area in 1945. She was a homemaker and served as a volunteer with the PTA and the Boy Scouts of America. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Eugene and she belonged to a recreational vehicle club, Loaners on Wheels. She enjoyed raising her family, sewing, baking and square dancing. She also enjoyed the outdoors and camping, especially at the Oregon Coast. Survivors include two sons, Stephen of Vancouver, Wash., and Gregory of Eugene; a sister, Irene Tregellas of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
