About	Lloyd Edgar Batterton, 94, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his home in Johnson City. He was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Sylvia, to David Edgar and Vada Evelyn Book Batterton. A farmer, Mr. Batterton had served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army Reserves. On March 12, 1953, he married Wanda Herron in Syracuse. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Charlene Walker of Buena Vista, Colo.; three sons, Thomas Batterton of Big Springs, Texas, Terry Batterton of Manter, and Ronald Batterton of Holly, Colo.; a brother, Russell Batterton of Johnson City; a sister, Donice Wilkerson of Johnson City; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Marjorie Baxter, Hazel Cleaves and June McKinney; three brothers, George, Joe and David; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.
