About	Eunice Annebelle Rumford, 90, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born May 24, 1916, at Hanston, the daughter of Charles Everett and Cassie O'della (Moore) Rumford. She attended Stanton County High School and later attended business college in Dodge City. When her uncle Fred Rumford was elected to the state House of Representatives, he took her back to Topeka with him so she could help with his secretarial work. She worked at the state house for 2 1/2 years. When that work was over, she went to work at the Department of Health. She then moved to Washington, D.C., for the next 10 years and worked for the FBI. While there she sang with the New York Presbyterian Church. Due to failing health, she was forced to return to the family home and live with her parents, helping them as best she could. She later lived in the long-term care unit at Trinity Manor, where she was a resident for many years. She made many crocheted items for the staff and their families to give as Christmas gifts and also for family members. Survivors include a sister, Lila Keener, Harrison, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Agnes Osborne; and two brothers, Harold and Orland Rumford. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Home , Dodge City, with the Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jetmore. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Swaim Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Trinity Manor or to Hospice of the Prairie in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 Sixth Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801.
