About	Anna Lois "Sue" Harris, 69, passed away on November 24, 1983, in Portales, New Mexico, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 27, 1914, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Beulah May (Starkey) and James Delamarty Bilbro. She came to Portales in 1935. On Sept 18, 1937, in Portales she was married to Edwin Ray Harris. She was employed at Eastern New Mexico University Post Office in 1969 and served there until her retirement in 1977. She was past president of the Rural Mail Carriers Auxiliary and served on the executive board until her death. She was a past member of the Portales Woman's Club and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a director of the WMU at the Calvary Baptist Church and was associate director of WMU for the Portales Association. She was also active in other civic functions. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Ray Harris, Sr; one son, Edwin Jr. of Houston, TX; two daughters, Phyllis Spears of Houston, TX, and Kay Goodman of Moriarty, NM; six grandchildren; her step-mother, Lilly Ann (Marvel) Bilbro of Wichita, KS; three brothers, Albert Harrison of Elizabethtown, TN, Walter W. Bilbro of Johnson, KS, and J. D. Bilbro, Jr. of Big Springs, TX; and five sisters, Hazel Polly of Roswell, NM, Maxine Zimmerman of Kansas City, MO, Joyce Jones of Moab, UT, Irene Mantooth of Oklahoma City, OK, and Lillie Ann Reiss of Wichita, KS. Pallbearers were: Brian Arnold, Joe Cearley, Mark Gardner, Wesley Swopes, John Spears and Ping Evetts. Honorary Pallbearers were: members of the Adult Four department of the Calvary Baptist Church.
