Events MANTER -- Muriel Patricia Tedder, 67, Manter, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

She was born May 8, 1932, to Freeman Taylor and Mildred V. (Watson) Walker in Lincolnville, Okla. She had been a resident of Manter since 1946.

She married George C. Tedder Nov. 22, 1953. He survives.

She worked for the State Statistical Reporting and the SRS office in Johnson. She was a volunteer fireman and a school bus driver for USD 452.

She was a board member of the Stanton County Senior Center, a member of the Manter City Council, the Eastern Star of Johnson, the American Legion Auxiliary of Ulysses, Rebecca Lodge of Fowler, Kansas, the Futorum Club of Johnson and Moose Lodge of Dodge City. She was also member of the United Methodist Church of Manter, Kansas.

Other survivors include her mother, Mildred Walker, Manter; two sons, George R. Tedder, and wife Donna, Syracuse, and Jerry C. Tedder, Manter; one brother, Freeman G.; Bud; Walker, Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Ellen K. Walcher, Woodward, Okla., Elizabeth Ann; Beth Devers, Booker, Texas, Linda Donati, Strattford, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Taylor Dean Tedder, Matthew Thomas Tedder, and Britt Jaree Tedder; and one step-grandchild, Heath Huser.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

* Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Manter with the Revs. Charles Rowley and Dave Kaufmann presiding.

Burial will be at the Stanton County Cemetery, Johnson, with an Indian traditional burial ceremony.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home, Johnson.

The family suggests memorials to the Josephine Goodboo Watson Scholarship Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 605 W. North Ave., Johnson, KS, 67855.
