Kenneth Douglas Taylor, age 52, of Batavia, New York, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at United Memorial Medical Center.

Kenny was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 8, 1958 to David Randolph Taylor Sr. and Edna Lucille Creason Taylor. His family moved to Johnson, Kansas in 1958. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1976. Kenny worked for Coop in Johnson before entering the U.S. Air Force, serving 14 years as a Munitions Systems Technician and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Since 2001, he worked at Genesee Community College. He enjoyed watching High School football games and traveling to watch Air Shows and Tractor Pulls.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 18 years, Karen Dyrbala Taylor, married July 3, 1992; his son Kyle Douglas Taylor who is attending Buffalo School of Law in Amherst, NY; a brother, David Randolph Taylor Jr. and wife Michelle of Johnson, KS; two sisters, Shirley Harrell of Russellville, AR and Betty Lauppe and John Eckhardt of Richland, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Frank Drybala of Alexander, NY; sister-in-law, Mary Hotchkill of Castile, NY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sharon and Dennis Brown of Attica, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Beverly Dyrbala of Alexander, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his father, David R. Taylor Sr.; mother, Edna L. Taylor; older brother Floyd Wayne Taylor and his wife Barbara; brother-in-laws Bill Lauppe and James Hamm. Ken was a gentle man who deeply loved his wife, Karen and his son, Kyle. He will be greatly missed by all.
