Events Rance Lee Edgar, 22, of Ulysses, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at Ulysses.
He was born Feb. 21, 1976, in Ulysses, the son of Jay L. and Nesha (Vian) Edgar. Mr. Edgar was raised in Elkhart and moved to Johnson in 1987 where he graduated from Stanton County High School in 1994. He was a Certified PPG Refinish Technician, a member of the National Street Rod Association, secretary of the Bear Creek Gun Club of Johnson and a past member of the Stanton County 4-H.
Survivors include his father, Jay. L. Edgar, Elkhart; a brother, Clay Edgar, Johnson; stepfather, Lynn Brown, Laramie, Wyo.; grandmother, Gwen Vian, North Platte, Neb.; an aunt, uncle and numerous cousins and friends.
Mr. Edgar was preceded in death by his mother on May 23, 1998.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Johnson, the Revs. Ron Wilson and Glen Fogo officiating. Burial will be 4:30 p.m. at the Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Garnand Funeral Home (formerly Figgins-Phillips), Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the Stanton County 4-H Council in care of the funeral home.
