Events | Cynthia K. Lewis, 51 of Trenton, Nebraska died Monday, July 07, 2014 at Wedgewood Care Center, Grand Island. Services will be 10:00 a.m (MST). Friday, July 11, 2014 at Wesleyan Church in Syracuse, Kansas with the Rev. Joe Gould officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton County Cemetery in Syracuse, Kansas. Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements. Cynthia Katharine Lewis was born December 4, 1962 in Syracuse, Kansas the daughter of George & Llynde Lacey (Finlay) Lewis. She grew up in Syracuse & Johnson, Kansas and received her education at Stanton County High school graduating with the class of 1981. After graduation she attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She lived in Trenton, Nebraska where she was employed by Parker-Hannifin and Valmont Industries in McCook and later was employed as a CNA in various nursing facilities. In recent years she has been in Belize, Central American with the love of her life, Carl Raney on business. She was a member of Church of God Church in Trenton, Nebraska. Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters and sons-in-law; Taylor & Jarrod Conner of Grand Island, NE Cheyne & Michael Swanson of Grand Island, NE and Micah Raney of Lawrence, Kansas, two grandchildren, Lily & Daniel Swanson, parents, George Lewis of Eagle, Colorado and Llynda Lacey (Finlay-Lewis) of Lawrence, Kansas, two brothers, Christopher Lewis & Tregory Lewis, of Kansas, sister & brother-in-law, Trecia & Steve Feree of Oklahoma and Paige Johnson who was like a daughter to her of Kenesaw, NE. |
