In Memory of

Don A. Nickell, 62 passed away Wednesday July 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Wheaton, Missouri to Lewis and Lucille (Howard) Nickell. He attended Johnson High School (Stanton County High School. Upon graduation Don went to work for People's Natural Gas, currently Black Hills Energy, in Johnson Kansas. Later he transferred to Burrton, Kansas with the same company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Pitch, NASCAR, and trips to the casino. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, grandparents; Veron and Effie Nickell, Anna Mae Davis, and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by, wife; Katherine Nickell, daughters; Marla (Rick) Richardson, Amanda (Travis) Seeber, brothers; Steve Nickell, Darrell (Zelma) Nickell, Stan (Karen) Nickell, Lewis (Janelle) Nickell Jr., Jay (Patty) Nickell, sister; Sharon (Kelly) Holtwick, grandchildren; Gracie and Keaton Richardson and Jackson Seeber.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. with family present from 4 – 6 P.M. on Sunday July 10, 2016 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 11, 2016 also at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Burrton City Cemetery following services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Burrton Volunteer Fire Department and EMS in care of the funeral home.
