Events	Ruth Ann Weis Stick Burgess, 63, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in Alamogordo. She was born on Nov. 19, 1946, in Lamar, Colo., to Joseph Sr. and G. Donna (McPherson) Weis. Ruth attended Stanton County High School in Kansas, graduating on May 20, 1964. She went on to attend the Dominican School of Nursing, graduating on May 27, 1967. She graduated from the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology on Aug. 13, 1973. She worked as a nurse for 30 years, many of those years at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother John; and sister Joey. Survivors include her husband Anthony (Tony) Burgess; daughters Sonya and Tonya; brothers Joe, Jim and Jerry; her sister Margaret; grandchildren Connor, Ian and Faith; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church in La Luz, with Father Bruce Hausfeld. O.F.M., celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Cemetery. The Burgess family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
