The son of Robert and Beulah Edmisson, Delmer Dean Edmisson was born at the crack of dawn, September 3, 1942, in Great Bend, Kansas. Bud was raised in Johnson, Kansas. He attended school in Johnson, graduating with the Class of 1960. Bud enjoyed participating in football, basketball, and running in track. Bud's love of homemade bread and butter began as a tike in his grandmother's kitchen. His wife Jo continued the tradition for 33 years by making him butter with a little bit of bread. Anyone who knew Bud knew that he loved Nascar and pizza. Bud loved to laugh and joke with family and friends. His quick wit would keep them laughing for days. His kids enjoyed trips to the lake to camp, boat, and fish.
