Visitation 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Garnand Funeral Home; service 10:30 a.m. Monday, First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife, Barbara; son, Larry, daughter, Terri, brother, Daryl, sister, Nancy Josserand, mother-in-law, Linda Ellis, all of Johnson; five grandchildren. Memorial has been established with Stanton County EMTs.

He married Barbara Maerz Ellis on December 1, 1956; they had two children from their union (1 son/ 1 daughter). He was preceded in death by his parents William Edward and Edith, grandparents, John Wesley and Mary Jane Wheeler Daniels, and Buell and Lotta Grace Heckathorn Scott.
