Events Lois Ann Mighell (Kendrick), age 87, a resident of Copperas Cove, Texas, went home to Heaven Saturday morning, February 17, 2024, at 4:45 a.m. with family at her bedside.
Lois Ann was born on Sunday, May 24, 1936 in Kansas. She was the daughter of Chester David and Sarah Jane (Orman) Kendrick. Lois Ann married the love of her life, Robert Thomas Mighell on Saturday, January 21, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas, where they both were attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. To their union were added five children: Brett, Bartt, Bobi, Burton, and Beth. The couple just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Lois Ann is survived by her husband Bob Mighell of Copperas Cove, Texas; four of her children Brett Kendrick Mighell (Lu) of Copperas Cove, Texas, Bartt Kendrick Mighell (Cammie) of Levita, Texas, Bobi Kendrick Cavins of Goreville, Illinois, and Beth Kendrick Gallups of Copperas Cove, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Mary Lou McKinney (Bill); Doloros McCray (Bill); Thomas Kendrick (Yvonne); Richard Kendrick (Loretta-survives); Phyllis Trammell (Herschel); Rosa Lee McKnelly (Wayne); Gary Patrick Kendrick; and Leslie David Kendrick; her sister-in-laws Mary Asbury and Lodema Luporini (Angelo); her youngest son Burton Kendrick Mighell and her son-in-law Steve Gallups.
Lois Ann was a kind, gentle, compassionate, Godly woman who loved the Lord, her family and her friends. During her life she enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, doing puzzles, reading, singing, cooking, and taking care of children. In her later years she enjoyed traveling, playing games, sitting by a warm fire, sitting in the sun admiring God's beautiful artwork in the sky, and spending time with her family.
A Visitation for Lois Ann will be held from 2pm to 3pm on Saturday February 24, 2024 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 3pm.
Lois Ann will be deeply missed by her family but they rejoice in knowing that she is in Heaven, and that they will see her again one day.
