Events	Jeri Ann Sosa, 46, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was born March 11, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., to Juan D. "John" and Juanita P. Kippes Sosa. She graduated from Stanton County High School, where she was on the dance team, in 1981 and attended Garden City Community College, where she was on the Jazz Dance Team and was a cheerleader for the basketball team. She also won Miss Congeniality in the Miss Southwest Kansas Pageant. Miss Sosa had lived in Colorado Springs for 16 years. For five years, she was employed with Western Warehouse, where she worked in sales, and then she worked as a finisher for a drywall contractor. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson City and served as a lector. Survivors include her mother, of Johnson City; a brother, Jon Sosa of Liberal; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Joseph and Pearl Kippes, and Salvador and Juana Sosa; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Vigil service was at 7:30P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2009,at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson City. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at the church, with the Rev. James P. Dieker officiating. Burial at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City. Visitation hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Garnand Funeral Home, Johnson City.
