Events Delta, Colorado resident, George E. Hatton, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, Colorado. He was 78 years old.

George Edward Hatton was born on May 25, 1934 to George Robert and Edna (Dorwin) Hatton in Johnson, Kansas. He grew up in Johnson and graduated from Johnson High School in 1952. George has been a resident of Delta, Colorado since 1972 moving from Commerce City, Colorado.

George married Beatrice "Bea" Anne (Rigdon) Sanders on February 9, 1974 in Montrose, Colorado.

George was a member of the American Bowling Conference; the Woodworker's Guild and was a lifetime member of the Elk's Lodge. He was currently employed at Jim's Outback. George enjoyed woodworking, flying and bowling but most of all, George loved his family. George is survived by his wife, Bea Hatton of Delta, Colorado; son, Mark Hatton, also of Delta, Colorado; sons, Terry Hatton and Dennis Hatton of Hutchinson, Kansas; son, Burrall Sanders and spouse, Joyce of Falcon, Colorado; daughter, Deb Kraai and spouse, Charlie; son, Jess Sanders and spouse, Devona; Dan Sanders and spouse, Debbie, all of Delta, Colorado; son, Wes Sanders and spouse Martina of Wilton, California; daughter, Dorie Charlesworth and spouse, Darrell of Grand Junction, Colorado; son, Hal Sanders and spouse, Kim of Delta, Colorado; son, Chad Sanders and spouse, Bobbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Bill Hatton and spouse, Judy of Hutchinson, Kansas; four sisters: Annie Markano and spouse, Chuck of Wichita, Kansas; Gaye Newton of Hutchinson, Kansas; Leaura Plummer of Johnson, Kansas; and Lee Bjerky of Viroqua, Wisconsin; forty-five grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna Hatton.

A funeral service honoring George's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, 682 1725 Road, Delta, Colorado. Interment will follow in Mesa View Cemetery in Delta. Viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
