Events He was born March 8, 1934, at Johnson, the son of Royce and Wilma Tucker Fiss.

He graduated from University of Kansas and the KU School of Law. A lifetime Johnson area resident, he was the Stanton County Attorney from 1963 to 1971, and from 1989 to 1997. He practiced law for over 40 years, retiring in 2000.

He belonged to First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Youthville Board of Directors, past president of the Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow, all of Johnson; member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Jaycees, State Legal Council, and the American and Kansas Bar Associations.

On Feb. 1, 1957, he married Faydean Orth at Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Greg, Johnson, and Andy, Hugoton; a brother, Galen, Leawood; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Johnson, with the Rev. Glenn Fogo presiding. There is no visitation, as cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held in Stanton County Cemetery, Johnson.

Memorials may be sent to the church or Stanton County Scholarship Fund, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, Johnson.
