About	Penny died of an accidental drug overdose on August 26, 1996. She was the fourth daughter of Robert and Lorraine Klinder who predeceased her. She was survived by a daughter, Stephanie Lee, who was three years old at the time of Penny's death. Also survived by sisters Karyn (Herrmann), Jennifer (Petersen-Hemmer), and Bonnie (Edhlund).
