| About Me | Cathy (Broom) and married 1 month after I graduated from U of I. I passed CPA and joined Price Waterhouse (Big 8 public accounting firm). Cathy continued her teaching career. We were transferred to Nashville, TN by PW in 1986 where we had our first child (son - Michael). In 1989 I left PW as a Senior Manager to join a very large privately held company HQ in Nashville called Ingram Industries and took on a financial management role. Cathy and i had our second child (daughter - Lauren). We did the baseball, soccer, parenting routine. I went to Vanderbilt in the Executive MBA program and rec'd my E-MBA in 1993. In 1996 I accepted a promotion and transfer to Orange County, CA and we moved to Coto de Caza, CA. What a different world! Just to keep life interesting, in 1997, i accepted a 3 year assignment to Ingram Micro based in London, England as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The kids went to a private Int'l school, Cathy was not allowed to work and i gained some great experience while we toured the world and broadened our horizons. In 2001 we moved back to Brentwood, TN (just south of Nashville) and i became CFO of another Ingram company to take it public. Cathy started her PHD in Education at Vanderbilt. After 9/11, this company struggled and i left to became the CFO of Broadcast Music, Inc (BMI) based in Nashville, TN where I am today. I am now in the music / entertainment business working hard and having fun. Cathy is doing great - still teaching. The kids are mostly grown up. Michael graduated from Indiana Univ w/ a degree in Accounting, Finance, Info Systems and is an Investment Banker at UBS in Chicago. Lauren is a Sophmore at Univ of TN majoring in Psychology.
